1. Log in to your WhaleFin account, and go to the Identity Verification page via:
a. [ Home ] - [ Identity Verification Guide Card ]
b. [ Me ] - [ Account & Security ] - [ Identity Verification ]
2. Select your region/country of residence in “Region/Country of Residence”. Please make sure that the information for the place of residence you choose is correct. You will not be able to change it once confirmed.
3. Click on [ Verify ] to complete your Identity Verification:
① Identity Information: Answer according to your actual situations
② Proof of Identity: Select the issuing country/region of your document and document type, and get ready for face scanning. Note: Please do not wear hats, glasses, or use filters, and make sure the photo is well lit.
③ Proof of Address:
a. Picture proof: Upload any bank statements, utility bills, phone bills, property tax slip, lease, or property purchase agreement dated within the past 3 months.
b. Manually-entered proof: Click “Upload Later”, and fill in your address information to get a 30-day experience period on your identity as “Verified”, during which you are able to use Deposit, Trade, Earn, Investment, and other functions.
i. If you wish to continue to use the above functions or unlock more functions, please submit your proof of address ASAP to complete your Identity Verification. If you do not submit proof of address after the 30-day experience period ends, your access to the above functions will no longer be available.
ii. This feature is not supported in the following country/region: United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, Europe (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey).
1) Log into your WhaleFin account, and click [ Identity verification ] in the Personal Center.
Basic Questions: Answer according to your actual situations
a. Complete the questions
b. Click [Save & Continue] for the next step
2) Verify Identity: Scan identity document and facial verification
a. Select your identity document's Issuing country/region and Document type.
b. Click on [Scan] and select one of the following choices for the next step.
- Continue on mobile: Send link by email or scan the QR code using your mobile camera or QR code app.
- Take photo: Please make sure your computer has a webcam and can be used properly
- Upload file: Upload your identity document photos and get ready for face scanning
- Identity document photo: Please make sure to use the physical identity document, and it is complete and not visibly damaged, also is within the validity period. Please do not use flash to avoid reflections and glare on the identity document, and make sure the photo is well lit.
- Facial verification: Please do not wear hats, glasses, or use filters, and make sure the photo is well lit.
3) Verify Address: Upload proof of address valid for the past 3 months
a. Upload any bank statements, utility bills, phone bills, property tax bills, lease agreement, or property purchase contract dated within the past 3 months as proof of address.
b. Click [ Submit ] for review.
